Some things feel permanent until they begin to move.
Scripture reminds us that there is a difference between what can be shaken and what cannot.
“Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude...”
— Hebrews 12:28 (NASB 1995)
Life has a way of revealing that many things we depend upon are temporary.
Circumstances change.
People change.
Plans change.
Positions change.
Our own understanding changes.
If our security is built primarily upon those things, shaking can feel devastating.
But God's kingdom cannot be shaken.
His character doesn't change because your circumstances did.
His truth doesn't become less true because life became uncertain.
His faithfulness isn't dependent upon everything going according to your plan.
Breaking seasons invite us to examine what we've treated as permanent and return our confidence to what actually is.
When something around you shakes, you don't have to pretend it doesn't matter.
You can grieve what changes while simultaneously remembering what hasn't.
God remains.
His truth remains.
His kingdom remains.
Truth To Carry Forward:
What can be shaken was never meant to become your foundation. Build your life upon what cannot be moved.
