Biblical Encouragement For The Season You’re Walking Through

Believing something strongly doesn't make it true.

Some beliefs were formed so early or reinforced so repeatedly that we've never thought to question them.

They simply became part of the way we understand ourselves, other people, and life.

Maybe you learned that love must be earned.

Maybe you believe keeping everyone happy keeps you safe.

Maybe you've assumed setting a boundary is selfish.

Maybe you believe someone's treatment of you determines your worth.

These assumptions can become deeply rooted.

That's why renewing our minds requires more than positive thinking.

It requires examining what we believe against the truth of God's Word.

Ask yourself:

Why do I believe this?

Then ask the more important question:

Is it actually true according to Scripture?

Those questions may lead to very different answers.

You don't have to defend a belief simply because you've carried it for years.

If God's Word contradicts it, you are allowed to let it go.

In fact, renewal requires it.

We don't ask Scripture to agree with what we already believe.

We allow Scripture to correct us.

Truth To Carry Forward:
A familiar belief is not necessarily a true belief. Let God's Word determine what deserves to remain.
