Biblical Encouragement For The Season You’re Walking Through

Confidence doesn't always come before obedience.

Sometimes it comes because of obedience.

We often want to feel completely certain before taking the next step.

We want the fear gone.

The questions answered.

The outcome guaranteed.

Then we'll obey.

But faith frequently works in the opposite direction.

God shows us what is right, and we take the step while we're still nervous.

Then another.

And another.

Over time, we begin accumulating evidence of God's faithfulness.

You discover that you can maintain the boundary.

You can tell the truth.

You can survive someone's disappointment.

You can make a different choice.

You can trust God without controlling the outcome.

The confidence isn't ultimately confidence in yourself.

It's growing confidence that God is trustworthy.

Each act of obedience gives you another opportunity to experience what happens when you follow Him instead of returning to the old way.

You may still feel afraid.

Take the obedient step anyway.

Faith isn't proven by the absence of uncertainty.

It's demonstrated when you trust God enough to obey Him in the middle of it.

Truth To Carry Forward:
You don't have to wait for confidence before obeying. Obedience itself can become one of the ways your confidence in God grows.
