Biblical Encouragement For The Season You’re Walking Through

Some parts of your journey only begin to make sense after you have walked beyond them. What once looked like separate disappointments, delays, and changes may reveal a much bigger story of God’s faithfulness.

When you were living through those moments, you could only see what was directly in front of you. You saw the unanswered prayer, the closed door, the unexpected ending, or the season that lasted longer than you believed it should. You could not yet see how God was using each part of the journey.

Pain often narrows your perspective.

When something hurts, that moment can feel as though it defines the entire story. You may wonder where God is, why He allowed the difficulty, or whether anything good can come from it.

But one painful chapter is not the whole story.

God was present when you were waiting.

He was present when your plans changed.

He was present when you had to release something you wanted to keep.

He was present when you were learning to trust Him without knowing what would happen next.

The evidence of His faithfulness may not always appear in the form you expected. Sometimes it is found in what He prevented. Sometimes it is seen in the strength He developed within you. Sometimes it is revealed through the wisdom, discernment, and dependence on Him that grew through the journey.

You may have believed you were simply surviving while God was teaching you how to stand.

You may have thought you were losing your direction while God was redirecting your steps.

You may have wondered why He was not changing the situation while He was changing something deep within you.

“I shall remember the deeds of the Lord; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old.” — Psalm 77:11

Remembering does not mean pretending everything was easy or that every loss was insignificant. It means looking honestly at the journey while also recognizing that hardship never placed you outside God’s care.

There may still be questions you cannot answer.

There may still be parts of the story you would not have chosen.

Yet unanswered questions do not erase the evidence of God’s presence.

A delay may have protected you from moving before you were ready. A closed door may have redirected you toward something healthier. A difficult truth may have freed you from a pattern that was keeping you bound.

God was not working only in the moments that felt good.

He was working through the correction.

He was working through the waiting.

He was working through the surrender.

He was working through every faithful step you took before you could see where those steps were leading.

Your story is larger than its hardest chapter. It includes every time God strengthened you, confronted a false belief, exposed an unhealthy pattern, and reminded you that your identity rests in Him.

Seeing the bigger story does not require understanding every detail. It means recognizing that God remained faithful through all of it.

The season did not surprise Him.

The detour did not confuse Him.

The delay did not stop His work.

The pain did not remove you from His hands.

You can look back without becoming trapped in the past. The story is not simply about what happened to you. It is also about the God who stayed with you, strengthened you, and faithfully led you forward.

Truth To Carry Forward

My hardest chapter is not my whole story. God has been faithfully working through every part of my journey.
