Biblical Encouragement For The Season You’re Walking Through

Recognizing what is wrong is important.

But recognition alone doesn't tell us what is right.

We need God to teach us.

David prayed:

“Make me know Your ways, O LORD;
Teach me Your paths.
Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
For You I wait all the day.”
— Psalm 25:4–5 (NASB 1995)

There is humility in that prayer.

Teach me.

It acknowledges that our own understanding isn't enough.

We may recognize unhealthy patterns without knowing what healthy ones should look like. We may finally see where we've been wrong without knowing how to walk differently. We may understand what needs to end before we understand what God wants to establish in its place.

That's when recognition becomes discipleship.

We don't simply ask God to show us what is wrong.

We ask Him to teach us His ways.

Scripture becomes our standard. God's character becomes our reference point. His truth begins correcting assumptions we've carried for years.

And we become students again.

You don't have to already know the way forward.

You need to be willing to be taught.

Truth To Carry Forward:

Ask God not only to show you what you've been doing, but to teach you His way of doing it.
