Change usually doesn't begin with change.
It begins with awareness.
Before you can address a pattern, you have to recognize it. Before you can replace a lie, you have to identify it. Before you can make a different choice, you have to become aware of the choice you've been making.
That's why awakening matters.
You may be tempted to immediately ask, "What am I supposed to do?"
But sometimes the first thing God is doing isn't asking you to do something.
He's helping you see something.
There will be time for decisions, obedience, boundaries, healing, rebuilding, and new patterns. But rushing into action before you understand what God is revealing can cause you to treat symptoms while missing the deeper issue.
Pay attention to what is becoming visible.
What are you recognizing now that you couldn't—or wouldn't—see before?
What patterns are becoming clearer?
What truth has become harder to dismiss?
You don't need to solve everything today.
Allow awareness to do its work.

You cannot intentionally change what you have not yet recognized. Awareness comes before change.
