Biblical Encouragement For The Season You’re Walking Through

Control makes a promise it cannot keep:

If you manage everything carefully enough, you can guarantee the outcome.

But you can't.

You can plan wisely and something unexpected can happen. You can say exactly the right thing and someone can still misunderstand you. You can work incredibly hard and the outcome can still be different from what you wanted.

We have influence. We have responsibility. We have choices.

But we do not have control over everything.

Trying to possess control God never gave us creates an exhausting way to live. We begin managing people, anticipating every possibility, replaying conversations, preparing for problems that haven't happened, and carrying outcomes that were never ours to carry.

Surrender requires accepting the limits of our control.

That doesn't mean becoming passive or irresponsible. It means doing faithfully what belongs to us and trusting God with what doesn't.

There is freedom in finally recognizing:

I am responsible for obedience. God is responsible for the outcome.

You don't have to keep doing His job and yours.

Truth To Carry Forward:
Control promises certainty. God offers something better—Himself.
