Biblical Encouragement For The Season You’re Walking Through

Truth doesn't always feel freeing when we first encounter it.

Sometimes truth confronts something we'd rather keep believing.

It may reveal that a relationship isn't what we thought it was.

It may expose a pattern we've been defending.

It may challenge an identity we've built around someone's approval.

It may require us to admit that something familiar is not healthy simply because it is familiar.

At first, truth can feel disruptive.

But lies require maintenance.

We have to keep explaining them, defending them, accommodating them, and arranging our lives around them.

Truth doesn't require that.

Truth allows us to stop building our lives around what isn't real.

Jesus said:

“If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine;  and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”— John 8:32 (NASB 1995)

Freedom begins when we become willing to know what is true and live accordingly.

That doesn't mean every consequence disappears immediately.

But truth gives us solid ground from which to make different choices.

You don't need a comforting lie more than you need God's truth.

Even when truth initially hurts, God's truth ultimately leads toward life.

Truth To Carry Forward:

Truth may disrupt what is familiar, but God's truth leads toward freedom.
